China - Huanglong scenic and historic Interest Area

Situated in the north-west of Sichuan Province, the Huanglong valley is made up of snow-capped peaks and the easternmost of all the Chinese glaciers. In addition to its mountain landscape, diverse forest ecosystems can be found, as well as spectacular limestone formations, waterfalls and hot springs. The area also has a population of endangered animals, including the giant panda and the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey.

Dans le nord-ouest de la province du Sichuan, la region de Huanglong comprend des sommets couverts de neiges eternelles et le glacier chinois situe le plus a l'est. A ses paysages de montagne s'ajoutent des ecosystemes forestiers tres varies, associes a des formations karstiques spectaculaires, des chutes d'eau et des sources d'eau chaude. Situada al noreste de la provincia de Sichuan, la region de Huanglong posee un macizo montanoso con cumbres cubiertas por nieves perpetuas y el glaciar mas oriental de China. A sus bellos paisajes montanosos vienen a anadirse ecosistemas forestales muy variados, formaciones karsticas espectaculares, cascadas y fuentes de aguas termales. La region alberga algunas especies animales en peligro de extincion, como el panda gigante y el mono dorado de nariz chata.

Im Nordwestern der Provinz Sichuan schliesst das Gebiet Huanglong von ewigem Schneee abgedeckte Berge und den ostlichsten Gletscher Chinas ein. Zu seinen Berglandschaften kommen sehr verschiedene Waldokosysteme mit eindrucksvollen Karstformationen, Wasserfallen und Warmwasserquellen hinzu. Die Gegend ist von mehreren bedrohten Tierarten bewohnt, unter denen der Riesenpanda und der goldene Breitnaseaffe von Sichuan.
