Within
three huge concentric walls, the ruins of the holy city of the Kingdom of
Elam can be found at Tchogha Zanbil. Founded around 1250 B.C., the thousands
of unused bricks left at the site show that it remained unfinished after it
was invaded by Ashurbanipal.

A l'interieur de trois formidables
enceintes concentriques, le site de Tchoga Zanbil conserve les ruines de la
ville sainte du royaume d'Elam, fondee vers 1250 av. J.-C., qui, apres
l'invasion d'Assurbanipal, resta inachevee, comme l'attestent ses milliers de
briques inutilisees.

En el
interior de tres formidables recintos concentricos, las ruinas de la ciudad
santa del reino de Elam, fundada hacia el ano 1250 antes de JC, ha
permanecido inacabada, con sus millares de ladrillos inutilizados tras la
invasion de Asurbanipal.

Innerhalb drei eindrucksvollen riesigen
konzentrischen Umwallungen behalt die Statte Tchogha Zanbil die Ruinen der
circa im Jahre 1250 vor Christus gebauten heiligen Stadt des Reichs Elams.
Nach dem Einfall durch Assurbapinal blieb sie unvollendet ubrig, wie Tausende
unbenutzte Backsteine es beweisen. |
