Bulgaria - Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak

Discovered in 1944, this tomb dates from the Hellenistic period, around the end of the 4th century B.C. It comprises three rooms built of brick. The dromos and funerary chambre are decorated with frescoes, representing in particular a funeral banquet. The wall paintings by an unknown artist, mainly in red, black, white and green, show a genuine talent which is relatively free of the Greek influence.

Decouvert en 1944, le tombeau date de la periode hellenistique, vers la fin du IVe siecle av. J.-C. Il comprend trois salles construites en brique. Le dromos et la chambre funeraire sont ornes de fresques representant notamment un banquet funeraire. Le peintre anonyme, employant principalement le rouge, le noir, le blanc et le vert, fait preuve d'un talent original qui ne doit a peu pres rien a l'influence hellenistique.

Bulgaria - Tumba tracia de Kazanlak

Descubierta en 1944, esta tumba data del periodo helenistico (hacia finales del siglo IV a.C.). Esta situada cerca de Seutopolis, capital del rey tracio Seutes III, y forma parte de una gran necropolis. El tholos comprende un corredor angosto y una camara mortuoria circular con frescos que representan ritos funerarios. Estas pinturas son las obras de arte del periodo helenistico mejor conservadas en Bulgaria.

Bulgarien - Thrakisches Grab von Kazanlak

Das im Jahre 1944 entdeckte Grab datiert aus der hellenistischen Periode, circa am Ende des 4ten Jahrhunderts vor Christus. Es enthalt drei Saale, die aus Backstein gebaut wurden. Der Dromos und das Grabzimmer sind mit Fresken dekoriert, die unter anderen ein Beerdigungsessen darstellen. Der namenlose Maler, der besonders die Farben rot, schwarz, weiss und grun benutzte, zeigt ein originales Talent, das von der griechischen Kunst sehr wenig beeinflusst wurde.
